Voyage

The series Voyage aims to create a space for contemplation. It is about experiencing moments that are both calming and illuminating. This series envisions open space with nothing to fill it. It is an invitation to gaze at the developing horizon, both literally and figuratively, as the water washes away the noise and clutter of everyday life. A place where one can momentarily go inward and rest. 

Each image is unique as it records the passage of time in a still frame. The combination of all elements at play is unrepeatable. The speed of the wind, the size and the shape of the waves, create distinctive patterns that are an inimitable moment in time. In this series, I used a slow shutter speed with the intent to create an ethereal and dreamy atmosphere by softening the texture of the crashing waves and sand patterns.

Voyage is a reminder to tap into the power of the natural world to soothe and comfort. Voyage is an invitation to breathe deeply.
